All of the following admissions requirements must be met if you are to be considered for a Hurley Medical Center Dietetic Internship appointment:
- Prior to the internship starting date, the student must meet the minimum academic requirements to apply for a dietetic internship, which include a bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree from a regionally accredited college or university and completion of an approved/accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics. (Potential interns can receive a bachelor’s degree from a different institution than the one where they complete their DPD requirements).
- The student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (G.P.A.) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or 5.0 on a 6.0 scale.
- The student must have a minimum DPD grade point average (G.P.A.) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or 5.0 on a 6.0 scale.
Students who do not have the minimum G.P.A.s specified above will not be considered in the selection process.
