Laura Carravallah MD has worked in graduate medical education nearly her entire professional career. The former Hurley residency program director continues to teach resident physicians as a preceptor in the Combined Medicine/Pediatrics’ North Pointe Clinic and also is an MSU-CHM faculty member in the college’s Department of Public Health on the Flint Campus. She also is an invited fellow of the American College of Physicians and has put her emphasis on community medicine into practice by serving on the Genesee County Board of Health, on tasks forces for the Greater Flint Health Coalition, as co-creator for Hurley’s Faith-Based Blood Pressure Screening Initiative, and by serving on numerous committees and task forces in national, state, and local health- and education-related organizations.
