Pediatrics, Third-Year Resident
I am originally from Anambra in the southeastern part of Nigeria. I am also “originally” from Oak Park, Mich.
Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, East Lansing, Mich.
What brought you here to Michigan?
I came to the U.S at the age of 10. I came as a child, so I stayed because my parents stayed. Michigan has now become my home away from home.
Why did you choose your specialty?
My mother found an assignment I did in the 6th grade about what I wanted to be when I grow up. It said in big, bold letters, “I want to be a Pediatrician.”
My parents and my brother and sister-in-law are in the Detroit area. My husband is here with me in Flint.
When you’re not working, what do you do for fun?
Explore restaurants, travel, watch foreign films
