Why did you come to Michigan?
I came to Michigan after being accepted to the Transitional Residency Program at Hurley Medical Center. I was really impressed during the interview process because Hurley Medical Center offers great training to better prepare myself for my medical career.
Why did you choose your specialty?
I chose the Transitional Residency to strengthen my competencies to become an Ob/Gyn Resident Physician.
Family:
Cecile Alonso, my sister, and her husband, Agustin Rivera, are both Puerto Rican - just like me - and are back home in our beautiful island. I would not be here without their love and support.
When you're not working, what do you do for fun?
I love doing my gel nails, walking outside, talk on the phone with my family back home, or watching too many movies or TV series.
What do you love about Hurley/Michigan?
I love how everybody is so nice in Michigan. Also, I love the diversity of people in Hurley Medical Center. There are people from all places, who talk different languages, and who teach me new things every day.

I miss the weather, the beach, and going out with any friend at any time and any place.
Favorite films?
My favorite movie is any Quentin Tarantino movie and any Pixar movie.
Favorite ways to keep work-life balance manageable?
I watch TV re-runs.
