Nearly 50 Hurley publications in first half of academic year

The first half of the Hurley Medical Center 2022-2023 academic year was very productive from a research perspective, despite a surge in COVID-19 that may have pulled clinicians away from their scholarly activity.

Hurley researchers published almost 50 papers and textbook chapters on such topics as frailty, depression, brain meningiomas, cryotherapy in Barrett's neoplasia, diaphragmatic endometriosis, health disparities, lupus, firearm possession in adolescents, liver biopsy, cirrhosis, post-zoster granulomatous, gastric cancer, infectious disease and treatment, and more.

The projects, reported from July 2022 through January 2023, are from Hurley specialties of Combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Transitional Year, and Trauma Surgery.
