What brought you to the U.S. and Michigan?

My family moved to the U.S. when I was a child, and I've been in Michigan ever since.

Why did you choose your specialty?

I have known too many women who let their own health fall between the cracks in order to take care of others. I love having the opportunity to help all women access the healthcare they need.

Family

I have an incredibly supportive family. My husband and daughter do everything they can to help out at home. The cats, on the other hand, tend to make trouble.

When you're not working, what do you do for fun?

All things plants! I always feel at home if the windowsills are filled with plant pots.

Special talents:

I was a fencer in college. I once fenced against an Olympic medalist! (I lost.)

Favorite ways to keep work-life balance manageable:

I refuse to work from home. My home is a safe space for rest and family. If I need to work on notes or check charts, I stay at work late or come in early

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

OBGYN generalist somewhere with a house on the water.
