Cheyenne Sanborn

BS

Program Coordinator

  • Internal Medicine Residency

Cheyenne Sanborn started her career at Hurley in 2022 and brings with her plenty of experience, which will be a big help as she coordinates two residency-training programs, with help, of course.

About living in Michigan:

Michigan has been my home for my entire life. I grew up in a small town called Holly and most recently just bought my first house in Burton!

Since I've grown up in Michigan, I can't imagine being anywhere else! There is such a wide variety of places to explore and have fun. Michigan has plenty of state parks and recreation areas that are great in the spring and summer, along with wonderful cities/towns great for shopping and dining in the fall and winter.

Education:

  • Bachelor of science degree: Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Mich.
    • Major: Criminal Justice
  • Associate's degree: Oakland University, Mich.
    • Major: Mental Health and Social Work

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy being able to help residents grow in their careers and excel in their Graduate Medical Education!

Family?

I have a wonderful mother, who has worked in the medical field for over 30 years, and my older sister, who is a social worker. I also have two lovely fur-babies; my dog Opie and my cat Artemis.

When you're not working, what do you do for fun?

In my free time I love spending time with my friends, reading, watching movies or TV shows, doing projects around my new house and traveling!

Hobbies

One of my favorite hobbies is doing small home renovation and design projects! Having just bought my first home, I'm loving renovating it into what I want. So far I've redone the upstairs flooring, stairs, and painted every room. I can't wait to do more!
