What brought you to Michigan?

I have family in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I have been in Grand Rapids for the last 2 years. I love the people of Michigan, and the best thing about Michigan is the fall season!

Why did you choose your specialty?

Pediatrics was a very straightforward choice for me. I was always interested in trying to make a difference in society by playing a role in improving the physical and mental health of kids. My father is a pediatrician back home, and he was a role model for me.

Family

I have some family in Pakistan, including my father; my mother and brother are with me in Michigan, and my husband is in California.

When you're not working, what do you do for fun?

Art. I love to paint! Follow my art page @dipped_brush :)

What do you like most about Hurley?

I love how diverse the program is. We have people from so many different backgrounds, and everyone is like a family. I love how I can ask any one for help without hesitation.

What do you miss most about home?

I miss being around my friends and family. I miss the food and wearing my traditional attire. I stay connected by talking on the phone during my free time.
