Program:
Transitional Year Graduating Class of 2026
Where are you from originally?
Thomasville, N.C.
Medical training:
Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, Harrogate, Tenn.
What brought you to Michigan?
Michigan has felt very similar to my hometown in North Carolina. The people are so kind, and welcoming and even the landscape feels similar. It's a beautiful place to live, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve the patients in the Flint area.
Why did you choose your specialty?
I am preparing to reapply for an OBGYN residency this year. The Transitional Year Program is a beneficial program in helping me to understand the responsibilities of an intern and to hone my clinical skills for my next program.
Family
My partner lives in Milwaukee and is a current OBGYN intern at Aurora Sinai. We have 2 dogs and a cat. I currently have our dog, Jack, who is a border collie/corgi mix, and we love going for walks in our neighborhood.
When you're not working, what do you do for fun?
You can find me tending to my plants, catching up on my crochet/knitting/bobbin lace projects, or reading!
What do you like most so far about Hurley and the Flint area?
I appreciate how much it feels like home. The people are so kind, both out in the community and here at Hurley. The patients have been great to work with so far. Also, the Flint Farmers' Market is such a hidden gem. It has so many wonderful small businesses, and it's a great benefit to the community!
