Why did you choose your specialty?
I chose Obstetrics and Gynaecology because it’s a dynamic, deeply rewarding specialty that uniquely combines medical, surgical, and emotional care for women at every stage of life. As a Nigerian woman, I’ve also seen firsthand the gaps in women’s health education, access, and maternal outcomes — and I feel a deep sense of purpose in helping to close that gap, whether through community health education, fertility awareness, or safe delivery practices. For me, OBGYN isn’t just a profession; it’s a calling to protect, empower, and uplift women.
