Jason Harrod MA is the newest member of the Hurley Research team. He hired in as an editorial/research assistant in summer 2021, and his skills immediately became highly sought and appreciated.

Education

• Master of arts degree in rhetoric and composition: University of Michigan-Flint
• Bachelor of arts degree in writing specialization: University of Michigan-Flint

Experience

Harrod's experience as a college instructor, writing tutor, and tutor coordinator helped him to hone his calm, patient demeanor and his writing and editing skills, so he's a perfect fit to help resident physicians and faculty edit and structure their scholarly work. His experience presenting scholarly findings also helps.

Harrod also formerly worked at Hurley as a pharmacy technician for a few years, so his in-house knowledge of the medical center is very high, and there was very little learning curve about Hurley operations and its mission. In fact, it already seems as if he has always been part of the team.

Family

Harrod and his wife have one son and reside in the Davison area.
