When did you come to the U.S.?
I came to the states (Michigan) in June 2022. I am very lucky to be here as its close to my brothers, who live in Canada.
Why did you choose your specialty?
The children give me day-to-day motivation, and seeing them happy is one of the best feelings in the world. Being around them is such a pleasure, and I enjoy the interaction with their family. The speciality itself is challenging in a Sherlockian way that I enjoy, compared to adult medicine. It requires a great amount of brainstorming due to the nature of children mostly not being able to explain all symptoms, in addition to mainly relying on collateral history from the parents.
When you’re not working, what do you do for fun?
When I am not working, I enjoy watching TV shows and walking outside in the evening.
What do you like about Hurley and the mid-Michigan area?
The nature and quietness is amazing here in Michigan, and Hurley Medical Center has a very friendly environment and supportive staff.
Favorite Films?
I love the Star Wars and Lord of The Rings movie series!
Favorite ways to keep work-life balance manageable?
- Always talk to family and friends on Facetime.
- Watch movies and TV series.
- Go out and have fun with friends.
