Graduated from Alneelain University and completed two years of a pediatric residency through Sudan Medical Specialization Board

What brought you to Michigan?

Prior to starting residency, I did some outpatient shadowing. I was able to see how much the community valued the Hurley services, and I am happy to be part of this institute that makes such an impact on people's lives.

Why did you choose your specialty?

I enjoy interacting with children in general. I love to promote their health, identify and advocate for their needs. They are also resilient to treatment which gives me a feeling of satisfaction.

Family:

I am the eldest sister; my family has always had my back, even when the odds are against me. This gives me the strength needed to go through challenging situations.

When you’re not working, what do you do for fun?

I enjoy watching cooking competitions, even though I can't cook.

What do you love most about Hurley?

The community is incredibly inclusive. Regardless of your background, you'll sense a feeling of belonging.

I am addicted to watching MasterChef Canada.
