What brought you to Michigan?
I initially came to the U.S. as a clinical researcher, focusing on COVID-19-related research projects. I moved to Michigan after I matched at Hurley Medical Center.
Why did you choose your specialty?
I chose internal medicine because it offers a perfect balance of intellectual challenge, problem-solving and meaningful patient interactions.
When you're not working, what do you do for fun?
My wife and I like to explore and travel, so on my days off I always try to schedule "something to do" even if it is something as small as trying out a new coffee shop.
What do you like most about Hurley and Mid-Michigan so far?
- The best thing about Hurley is the incredible sense of support and approachability within the program. Everyone, from faculty to fellow residents, fosters a welcoming and collaborative environment.
- Michigan is absolutely beautiful. I am excited to explore it. So far, my favorites places have been Mackinac Island and Meijer Gardens.
Inspiration
The ability to provide care, alleviate suffering and help individuals navigate their most vulnerable moments is incredibly fulfilling, and it is the source of my inspiration.
