What brought you to the U.S.?
I chose the US to do my paediatric training because healthcare here is so advanced. I chose Michigan because it’s diverse and suburban.
Why did you choose your specialty?
I love the opportunity to nurture and help kids maximise their potentials in adulthood.
Family
I am originally from Egypt, and my parents, whom I miss the most, live there in Cairo. My husband resides in Philly, Penn. I also have 2 brothers, one who lives in Canada and another in New York.
When you're not working, what do you do for fun?
I spend time with friends, work out, and watch TV.
What inspires you?
The idea of positively impacting pediatric healthcare in Nigeria
What do you miss most about home?
I miss my family and the food! We keep in touch through audio and video calls.
