What brought you to the U.S.?

I chose the US to do my paediatric training because healthcare here is so advanced. I chose Michigan because it’s diverse and suburban.

Why did you choose your specialty?

I love the opportunity to nurture and help kids maximise their potentials in adulthood.

Family

I am originally from Egypt, and my parents, whom I miss the most, live there in Cairo. My husband resides in Philly, Penn. I also have 2 brothers, one who lives in Canada and another in New York.

When you're not working, what do you do for fun?

I spend time with friends, work out, and watch TV.

The idea of positively impacting pediatric healthcare in Nigeria

I miss my family and the food! We keep in touch through audio and video calls.
