Internal Medicine Graduating Class of 2025

Where are you from originally?

I'm originally from Nineveh, Iraq, but I was raised in Sohar, Oman.

When did you come to the U.S.?

In 2019, I came to the US, directly to Michigan as I have family members here.

Why did you choose your specialty?

Internal Medicine is the core of medical knowledge, laying out the foundation for all medical specialties. Another reason I chose IM is that it opens doors to continuing education in various fellowships after graduation.

Family?

I met the love of my life in Michigan, and we got married. We decided to settle in the Great Lakes State.

When you're not working, what do you do for fun?

We like going to the parks and lakes around here. We also enjoy exploring the different restaurants that Michigan's diversity offers.

What do you like about Hurley?

Hurley offers a great medical training educational program along with a friendly diverse, and inclusive environment.

What inspires you?

Knowing that my career gives me the opportunity to provide compassionate and patient-centered medical care, which is something I enjoy doing and I find very rewarding.

What do you miss most about home?

My mother, father, and older brother. We keep in touch through video calls.
