• General Surgery Residency: McLaren Macomb Hospital, Mt Clemens, Mich.

Why did you choose your specialty?

The reason I applied to medical school is because I wanted to be a surgeon. If I didn't match in surgery, I would have probably moved to a non-medical career. It's gratifying to immediately fix my patients' problems with operations.

Inspiration?

Dr. Georg Friedrich Louis Stromeyer, a relative of mine.

Hobbies & Special Talents:

I'm an amateur automotive mechanic and car enthusiast with particular interest in British and JDM automakers. I enjoy maintaining and modifying cars with performance aftermarket parts.
