When did you come to the U.S.?

I arrived in Michigan in June 2022 to change lives as a pediatrician.

Why did you choose your specialty?

Saving or changing the lives of children makes my life more meaningful. They give me hope.


They are all in Turkey.

When you’re not working, what do you do for fun?

I meditate, do yoga, spend time in nature, and travel the other countries.

What do you like about Hurley?

Residents have different cultural backgrounds. The staff is very helpful.

What inspires you?

Because kids can`t fight with disease alone, it makes me happy to do something good for our world.

Biggest challenge?

Deciding to change to a different country for my career was difficult; however, I overcame it by thinking, if I do this, I will be more effective for sick children in the future

What do you miss most about home?

I miss being in the safe zone with family - and my mom's cooking. However, we talk on WhatsApp every day. No one grows up in the comfort zone!

I play guitar, dance tango, camp, and travel the world. Back in college, me and my friends were hitchhiking to travel!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

By then I would have studied hard and become a successful pediatrician in my field. I'm going to take my own van and take leve for a few months and travel!

Favorite ways to keep work-life balance manageable?

Meditate every day, talk to friends and family on Skype or Facetime, and pray.
