Obstetrics & Gynecology Graduating Class of 2026

Training & Education:

  • Medical degree: Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Mich.

Where are you from originally?

Grand Blanc, Mich.

When did you stay in Michigan?

I decided to stay in Michigan mostly because my family is here. Besides having my support system close by, I love everything this state has to offer. Whether heading to downtown Detroit for great food and museum exploration or roadtripping up to the U.P. to hike and be by the water, this state offers so many fun activities. And you can't beat experiencing Michigan's four distinct seasons!

Why did you choose your specialty?

I chose obstetrics and gynecology because it is such a unique specialty. We not only receive surgical training but are also the primary provider for many women. On top of the responsibility we have to provide quality general healthcare to women, we also get to experience the miracle of childbirth on a regular basis. I could never see myself doing anything else.

When you're not working, what do you do for fun?

When I'm not working, I love walking/hiking with my husband. Whether it's just around our neighborhood, or on a trail, we love getting outside for some vitamin D. I also love to read; mostly historical fiction or mystery novels.

Favorite ways to keep work-life balance manageable?

I practice yoga almost everyday, which definitely helps with relaxation after any stressful days.
