What brought you to Michigan?

My journey to the U.S. has been shaped by opportunity and new beginnings, and it has been a meaningful step forward. Though I’m still new to Michigan, I’ve appreciated the friendly, down-to-earth culture and the chance to enjoy the outdoors, which makes this place worth exploring.

Why did you choose your specialty?

I chose Internal Medicine because it brings together a strong foundation of knowledge and the use of reasoning skills, which I find both challenging and enjoyable, and which have a big impact on patient care. My interest started with a mentor, like many, and the people here at Hurley have continued to guide me. The community we work with is medically complex and under-resourced, and having the chance to contribute to such a large community while continuing to learn has been truly rewarding.

When you're not working, what do you do for fun?

When I’m not working, I enjoy music in many genres and like to dabble on the guitar. I also love playing basketball for fun and try to hit the gym whenever I get the chance.

What do you miss most about home?

FOOD. I don't think its strange that most of the folks that moved here really miss the food from home. Believe me, all of this gets channeled into one exploring and working on their culinary skills.

Biggest surprise about Hurley:

What has surprised me most about Hurley is the deep sense of pride people have in being part of this hospital community. Many have been here for years, dedicating themselves not just to their work, but to the patients and the community they serve. Seeing this dedication firsthand has been inspiring and has made me feel motivated to contribute in my own way.

Special talents and hobbies:

I enjoy music in many forms. I can dabble on a couple of instruments and like writing my own songs when I get the chance.
