Education:
I completed my medical degree at the University of Khartoum Faculty of Medicine, followed by commencing my pediatric residency in Sudan, and later, I moved to the United Arab Emirates.
What brought you to Michigan?
I hadn't been to Michigan before beginning my residency at Hurley, but I'm thrilled to be here now. Michigan is a diverse state with plenty of wonderful places to explore, particularly when it comes to food. I'm also looking forward to experiencing the snow!
Why did you choose your specialty?
My passion and lifelong dream have revolved around pediatrics. I derive immense joy from working with children and their families. The most fulfilling experience, in my opinion, is assisting a sick infant in their journey towards recovery.
Family:
I'm the eldest in my family of two sisters, and I've been living in a different country away from them for a long time. I deeply miss them and hope to reunite with them soon. On the other hand, I'm a proud mother of a beautiful girl and a wonderful boy, and my husband is a funny and amazing man.
When you’re not working, what do you do for fun?
Watch TV, hang out with family.
What do you like about Hurley and Michigan?
I adore the diverse cultures and the warm, inclusive atmosphere here. Regardless of your background, you'll find that Hurley and Michigan make you feel like you belong.
Favorite film:
My favorite movie of all time is The Pursuit of Happyness.
