Forty scholarly projects were presented at the 2025 Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Flint Community Research Forum March 5, and three of the four non-student awards went to Hurley projects. The conference, organized by MSU CHM Flint staff and hosted annually in the historic Flint Journal building in downtown Flint, gives medical students and area resident physicians an opportunity to share their research regionally.
Of the 13 oral presentations and 27 poster presentations, Hurley resident physicians and staff were personally involved with 10 oral and 9 poster presentations. Six Hurley physicians and staff also volunteered their time as judges: Graduate Medical Education: Julie Campe; Internal Medicine: Huda Marcus MD and Ali Zreik MD; Obstetrics & Gynecology: Atinuke Akinpeloye MD and Ivana Vettraino MD; and Pediatrics: Susumu Inoue MD
