Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Gain knowledge in the identification of depression, assessment, and treatment in youth.
- Develop skills for understanding the complex presentations and contributions to depression and improve their competence discussing the risks and benefits of different medication treatment options.
- Help their patients to have improved outcomes with the combination of evidence-based psychotherapies, precision prescribing of medications, and self-care strategies such as regular exercise, sleep, and planned meals.
