Why did you return to Michigan?
I was born and raised in Michigan. I moved to Illinois for graduate school and to Ohio for my residency. I am thrilled to be returning to Michigan to be closer to my family. I also am excited to be able to easily visit the Great Lakes and other beautiful Michigan destinations.
Why did you choose your specialty?
I first learned of the field of pediatric psychology after having surgery in high school. The pediatric psychologist I met with was so reassuring and validating, even during our short meeting. I knew I wanted to provide the same comfort to others as part of my career.
Family?
My immediate and extended family live in the mid-Michigan area. My dog, Chip, has joined me in Flint.
When you’re not working, what do you do for fun?
I enjoy taking my dog for hikes, reading, and spending time with family.
Top 5 favorite things about Michigan?

Favorite ways to keep work-life balance manageable?
I try my best to get enough sleep and take my dog for a daily walk.
